Inspired by the land and seascape of Cornish coves, this beautiful collection of illustrations were the winning entry in a competition Rick Stein launched to final year Art & Design students at Falmouth University, to create his new tabletop collection. Eight coves and bays from North Cornwall have been hand-painted in watercolour showing the depth and colour variations in the sea. (this item does not come in a gift box)
This mug is decorated with a watercolour illustration of Hawker's Cove, Cornwall. The clean design of the bone china form compliments the subtly changing shades of the cove, with vivid sea blue tones. The bay name is noted on the inner rim of the mug. Sold as a single unit. Also available as part of a mixed set of four mugs.
Rick on Hawker's Cove: "Who would have thought this pretty little beach with its row of cottages is so close to the Doom Bar, a place of tragic drownings and wrecks?"
